A Train Conductor Was Fired For Posting "Sexy" Selfies On Her Social Media Account And I Won't Stand For It

CBCThe train conductor who was in the locomotive during a 2014 Banff derailment has once again been fired by CP Rail, this time after butting heads with the company over social media posts, including “racy” boudoir photos.

The railroad fired Stephanie Katelnikoff in November after accusing her of violating CP Rail’s code of ethics and its internet and email policy, according to evidence presented by the company as part of an internal investigation into her conduct.

The evidence package, obtained by CBC News, includes photos posted by Katelnikoff on her personal Facebook and Instagram accounts, showing her in various revealing, nude and sexually suggestive poses. Some of the photos show Katelnikoff standing on railway tracks.

All things considered this is possibly the most egregious and shameful firing of an employee in Canadian history.  Not even joking.  I know all the haters love to come out of the woodwork and tell us how sexist and misogynistic Barstool is but I’m like fucking Rosie the Riveter on this one – firing a woman for taking “sexy” photos and “racy” selfies in her spare time on her personal accounts is outrageous and something I can’t stand for.  What a woman chooses to do with her body in her personal time is her choice – if she chooses to pose for tasteful modeling pictures to put on her Facebook account that’s her prerogative and in no way affects her job performance.  How about all the hunky firefighters around the country posing for calendars all the time?  We gonna fire them too?  We’ll all burn alive but at least we never had to experience an affront to our prudish sensibilities.

I mean she’s not the face of a political party or something – she’s a fucking train conductor.  Does looking hot on the internet affect her ability to like, push the joystick up and pull the chain down to make the Choo Choo noise?  (I don’t know I’m not exactly sure what a conductor does).   It doesn’t even make sense.

And this isn’t even the first time they screwed her over!   In 2014 she was fired for “causing a derailment.”  Seemed like kind of an overreaction to driving a train off the tracks into a river but whatever.  Only problem is it wasn’t her fault at all, the tracks were fucked up, and it was proven in court – she won her wrongful termination suit and got her job back.

Kind of makes you think the old CP Rail had a little bit of a personal vendetta huh?  Hmmmm.

Also, just a little extra PR hit to add to the mix…

Turns out Stephanie is also a freaking saint in her spare time fixing bikes and handing them out to poor kids for free.

Ooops!
